Zero Density releases Reality 5.5 SP1 and latest version of Lino

New updates from Zero Density add some powerful new features, while the company's free Open Studio License Program is gaining momentum.

Zero Density has announced the release of the Reality 5.5 Service Pack 1, which hosts many new features and improvements. This release also includes Reality Hub 1.6.3, while Lino’s latest version comes with new graphics templates and improvements to make your real-time motion graphics even more simpler.

New in Reality 5.5 SP1 are Reflection Blur for more accurate blurs in a 3D environment, the Emissive Weight feature which makes the composite of the background video and AR object more true-to-life, and an improved NODOS Scheduler for better handling of multiple tracking inputs.

 

Meanwhile, the Lino real-time motion graphics platform based on the latest version of Unreal Motion Design (Unreal Engine 5.5.1) now provides access to four new sports graphics templates to help productions, along with overall enhancements such as integrating third-party plugins seamlessly, UI and UX improvements.

That's not all either, with Traxis Talent Tracking also hitting version 2.1 during January. This adds:

  • New tracking preset: Traxis Talent Tracking 2.1 now supports Feet Tracking Mode in addition to the body and head, ensuring shadows and reflections on the 3D environment stay grounded and adjust naturally with movement. The host can show virtual graphics with significant hand movements, bending front & backwards to tell the story effectively.  

  • Corner Offsetting:  With 2.1, users can create reference points on each corner of the cyclorama to ensure that the shadows and reflections of the talent remain precise in the 3D environment. This setup minimizes lens-based production errors, delivering consistently accurate and aligned visuals across the entire studio space.

And lastly, it's well worth mentioning the success of the company's Open Studio License Program. This was introduced at IBC last September, and offers the company's entire graphics ecosystem at no cost to qualified SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) users, academic institutions, independent creators, and indie developers. In just three months, ZD says it has received over 300 applications and has already granted licenses to the first 50 participants.
