How using cutting edge software and hardware from Adobe and ASUS helps Raindance Film School Dubai give its students an advantage.
As regular readers will know, we often work with ASUS on case studies that highlight the way its kit is being used in different ways around the world. We recently completed this one which we thought worth sharing here, as it involves the way that Raindance Film School Dubai partners with both ASUS and Adobe to make sure their students work with the kit they will most likely be using after they graduate as well.
As Principal and CEO of Raindance Film School, Zulfiqar Choudhry puts it: “Adobe has always been at the cutting edge of software and ASUS has always been in the cutting edge of the hardware, so it's a perfect combination.”
Have a look at the video below, but first a bit of background. Raindance Film School is one of the success stories of the modern era of movie education, established in 1992 to serve as a platform for independent filmmaking. In the 32 years since it has expanded around the world from its London base to organise one of the largest independent film festivals in Europe, and its facilities have grown to encompass 12 hubs across seven cities and three dedicated film schools in London, Dubai, and Mexico.
One of its key teaching tools is the Raindance Film Festival itself. “At the end of each year, all students write, direct and produce their own short film which is screened at the Raindance Film Festival,” explains Choudhry. “They need to work on monitors that reflects true colour and now with the Asus ProArt monitors, our students can do exactly that. The Asus ProArt workstations coupled with the Adobe Creative Cloud give our students the technology they need to create broadcast quality content, whether it's animation, VFX, or post-production.”
Have a look below. And there’s plenty more as well, including how the AI tools in Premiere Pro aid their work and how the ASUS ProArt B760 motherboard helps bring all the elements together at high-speed for feature film production.
