Samsung has done a quick, effective, and extremely fast turnaround on an ad that mocks Apple's 'Crush' misfire.
With Apple's Crush ad still off the charts in terms of consumer dislike, Samsung has returned to one of its favourite tactics in the US of mocking Apple's ad campaigns. In this new slot posted on X/Twitter, a woman walks over debris to pick up an old, battered guitar before sitting on a paint splattered stage to start playing it with the assistance of a Samsung Galaxy tablet.
'Creativity cannot be crushed' runs the tagline.
This being the interwebs in 2024, the responses in the comments vary between out and out applause and a standpoint probably best described as 'Fuck you, Samsung'. But for our money it's neatly done, impressively speedily done, and encapsulates the argument for all this new technology assisting human endeavour in a way that Apple quite conspicuously didn't.
