We’re proud to unveil our brand new website to the world. It’s better for you, and will help us bring you the content that you enjoy the most as we move forward in the ever changing world of visual technology.
RedShark has been in existence now for the good part of a decade, and in that time it has risen to be a site that professionals and enthusiasts across the world trust for their information about the visual technology industry. We lead the way in both opinion and technical insight, many times predicting the direction that the winds of industry will take long before it has become commonly accepted or acknowledged.
Our readers don’t always agree with what we say, but we’ve never shied away from eliciting views on technology just because it might not be the accepted view. It’s part of what makes us different. The one thing that fuels us here is our love of technology. And while this year has not exactly been memorable for the right reasons, there are now some very big lights at the end of the tunnel as vaccines begin to be distributed.
Remote working is now very much at the forefront of the production industry right now, with increased interest in low cost equipment that gets high quality results, even with less experienced people using it. We are emerging into a very different world, but at its heart any new tech will be driven in the same way as always. Innovative technology being used and developed to enable users to work in new, creative, and convenient ways.
We live in a time when anyone with a phone has the ability to create cinematic quality images. This would be been absolutely unheard of back when RedShark was first launched. Much of what we take for granted now would have been considered science fiction back then. But just as technology in general has advanced, so has the web!
RedShark has been running on the same layout for most of its life, and it was long overdue a refresh, but only if we could make it right. What you see now is the culmination of a lot of hard graft by our chief web designer, James Walker, revamping the site into something much more modern, vibrant, easier to read and navigate, and importantly, easier to find articles on the subjects that interest you the most, as well as being much, much more mobile friendly.
It is you, the reader, who we value the most, and we wanted to make sure that the articles and know-how that we publish would be as accessible as possible, whether you are viewing the site on a desktop computer or on mobile.
This is a new dawn for RedShark, and I hope you will join us for what we hope will be a much more positive journey for the industry in 2021 and beyond!
