Media Division Canon FD and K35 retrospective

The Media Division as done it again. This is an absolutely stunning retrospective into the history of the Canon FD and K35 system, with some hilariously good deep faking to boot.

Media Division Canon FD and K35 retrospective.
The Media Division Canon FD and K35 retrospective extensively spoofs the film Aliens.

The Media Division is known for its extensive looks at how to do cinematic lighting and other techniques, as well as technical explanations, all filmed in such a way that the information is educational as well as often highly entertaining.

It has now produced a new look back on the Canon FD and K35 systems, and boy is it extensive. From covering films that used the glass to whether any of the FD lenses can come close to any of the K35 models. Also covered is how to do a DIY de-click, and how to spot counterfeit lenses.

So extensive is the video that it is an hour and a half long. But don't go thinking you will lose interest. Usually I would suggest that online videos of this length get a bit long in the tooth, but not this one. It is spattered with numerous comedic deep fake insertions of the Media Division filmmakers into scenes from Aliens, something that is the subject of its own 'BTS' later on in the video.

Get yourself a drink, and perhaps some food, and enjoy the video below!
