Intel just held a competition to find new types of wearable technology and the winner is the ultimate in selfie-taking technology, a wearable quadcopter!
Intel's "Make It Wearable" competition had some interesting entries, but this one in particular caught my eye. Imagine a tiny Quadcopter with a built-in camera that you wear on your wrist like a watch. When you want to take a selfie or a video of yourself doing something cool, you simply launch the quadcopter into the air. It will fly away to a set position and then take a photo or video, when you are done it flies back to you and you catch it.

The judges were suitably impressed and they awarded the grand prize of $500,000 to Team Nixie, so we can probably expect te see this in production in a year or two.
