SmallRig unveils trio of new products

SmallRig has introduced a triptych of new products at IBC2024, including a new handy tool created with FILM RIOT and two new COB video lights.

SmallRig x FILM RIOT 7 & 10 Folding Wrench with Dual Angle Fixation

Teaming up with FILM RIOT, these 7 & 10 Folding Wrenches with Dual Angle Fixation at 90° or 180° angle are the ultimate tools for those working on sets or on locations. The wrench key can be set at the chosen angle and then locked via a built-in button.

The 7-in-1 wrench tool includes 4 Allen wrenches (2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, and 3/16), 1 flathead wrench, 1 Phillips wrench; and 1 Torx T25 wrench. It will retail for $29.99 USD and is available by October 27, 2024 (estimate).

Meanwhile, the 10-in-1 wrench set includes 6 Allen wrenches (1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 3/16), one flathead wrench, two Phillips wrenches; and one Torx T25 wrench. This one retails for $39.99 USD and is also estimated to be ready to ship on October 27, 2024.

The SmallRig x FILM RIOT 7 & 10 Folding Wrenches come with silicone coating for easy grip, are small, and can be kept in one's pocket, ready to adjust a light stand, attach an accessory to a camera, etc. At the prices of $29 and $39 respectively, it's worth picking one up. Check them out here.

SmallRig RC 100B COB Video Light

Going from tools to lights, SmallRig announced an RC 100B COB Video Light, promising to be 20% smaller than the usual 100W COB light. It's nice and compact, about the size of one's hand, multiple power options (V-mount battery, NPF battery, USB-C, and DC adapter), and a high Color Rendering Index (CRI). There are also plenty of accessories.

The SmallRig RC 100B COB Video Light features 2700 to 6500K daylight simulation, 4 preset parameters, and 12 special effects. Because it's battery powered (and wired) and compact, it can be used on the go quite easily. It will sell for $199 and is available now.

SmallRig RC 220 Pro COB Video Light

Finally, SmallRig also previewed another light, the RC 220 Pro COB Video Light, which will be available in October 2024. There aren't as many details, but it will feature both wired and wireless power options (V mount batteries), customized optical lenses, and more. The light is a newer version of SmallRig's previous RC 220 COB Video Light (above right).

It looks like the SmallRig RC 220 Pro COB Lights will sell for $349 each. We will update once more information is released — it's not yet on SmallRig's website for pre-order.
