SIGMA's Art line of lenses is known for quality and superiority, while still maintaining a more affordable advantage over similar lenses. The company has unveiled a new macro full-frame lens for mirrorless camera, the SIGMA 105mm f/2.8 DG DN MACRO, with either a Leica L-Mount or Sony E-Mount.
The SIGMA 105mm f/2.8 DG DN MACRO is the first macro lens, which is part of their mirrorless Art lineup. It's a sharp mid-telephoto full-frame lens, features a weather-proof body, 1:1 magnifications, excellent and quiet auto focus via its Hyper-Sonic Motor, very nice bokeh, and
The lens includes 17 elements in 12 groups and 9 diaphragm blades, with a minimum aperture of f/22 and a maximum of f/2.8. The minimum focusing distance is 11.6 inches (29.5 cm), and the angle of view is 23.3ยบ. The lens weighs 25.2 ounces (715 grams), but has a compact size of 2.9 in. x 5.3 in. (74 mm x 135.6 mm). In addition, there is an AFL button that can be assigned, but only with certain cameras.
Macro lenses provide cinematographers and photographers the ability to shot extreme close-ups, helping to expand creative opportunities. When combined with SIGMA's teleconverters for L-mount lenses, there's even more magnification (the SIGMA TC-2011 [2x] or TC-1411 [1.4x]).
