Looking for a bit more finesse when it comes to your drone flying? Ignite Digi has you covered with the astonishing-looking Control Deck for DJI Transmission.
Australian developer Ignite Digi has taken a look at the remote controls supplied for DJI's drones and thought something along the lines of 'We can do better than that'. And they can. The Control Deck for DJI Transmission is different enough from the normal grey plastic RCs that it almost looks like it's rolled off a steampunk design line. Stick a couple of valves on it and the look would be complete.
It's not just looks though, it's what it can do. It offers both gimbal and FIZ control in a carefully thought out layout for the DJI Inspire 3, Ronin 4D, Ronin 2 and RS3/4 Pro. A precision Pan / Tilt joystick is coupled with high resolution Focus, Iris, and Zoom controls, and Ignite Digi reckons that the unit offers unparalleled precision. Being able to choose between three different joystick modes - Linear, Squared, and Cubic - attests to the level of detail here.
Linear provides 1:1 input to output. Using this mode users will ride the master rate for more finesse of tilt/pan speed on the go.
Squared provides finer control of lower speed moves, while still being able to run a reasonably high pan/tilt speed.
Cubic is suitable for when you want to run really high speed on tilt/pan, but still have fine control for slow movement.
It's not cheap and it's not common. An initial batch of 20 have all shipped with a second batch coming. The Core Kit costs £3278 ( which currently converts to $4233) and the Complete Kit costs £4478 ($5783). Here's what's I them:
