Meike is adding another full-frame prime lens to their lineup, which so far has seen the release of two two lenses last fall, a 35mm T2.1 and 50mm T2.1. Their new lens is an 85mm prime at T2.1 (up to T22), and is compatible with a wide variety of S35 and APS- C cameras.
Compatible mounts include Canon (EF and RF), Panasonic (L), Nikon (Z), and Sony (E). The minimum focusing distance is 85cm, the filter thread is ΓΈ82, and there are 14 elements in 8 groups with 11 iris blades.
Cameras that are supported range from the Sony VENICE and ALEXA LF to many of the S35 and APS-C models from Canon, SIGMA, Panasonic, Leica, and others.
The price of the new Meike 85mm T2.1 is an affordable $998 USD, but there is a $30 savings offer for pre-orders. The lens will be available May 10, 2021. Learn more and pre-order at Meike's site.
Editors using FilmConvert and FilmConvert Nitrate can add another profile to their quiver: SIGMA fp. You'll be able to easily and quickly color grade footage from the SIGMA fp camera, either in your favorite NLE via the FilmConvert plugin, or the standalone app.
The SIGMA fp profile joins a long list of compatible cameras that FilmConvert can color grade. The app/plugin allows editors to really get a great cinema-like look to their footage, and the profiles make it much faster to work.
FilmConvert can be used with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid. Check out FilmConvert's site for more information.
