Over the past six months, RedShark has collaborated with ASUS ProArt to chronicle how the next generation of filmmakers, game developers, digital artists, and designers works with the company's technology. These are some of the results.
Our journey has taken us all around the world from Norway to Belgium, Poland, Dubai, Hungary, and back to the UK. Through these partnerships with leading educational institutions and studios, ASUS ProArt has provided tools and technologies that have empowered different learning and creative experiences. This initiative shows how access to top-tier equipment can nurture talent and foster innovation in creative fields, and we were there to document it.
As this stage of the project comes to a close - and while we get geared up for another ProArt season - we thought we'd share our work on the program to date.
Norwegian Film School
Our first stop was in Oslo, Norway, where we had the opportunity to join the Norwegian Film School's Virtual Production Workshop. This 3-day workshop included a full walkthrough from pre-visualization to production and post-production where industry professionals work together with students to learn everything about virtual production.
Established in 1997, the Norwegian Film School has become a leading institution in nurturing cinematic talent in Norway. The school offers a comprehensive education in filmmaking through its Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs. With cutting-edge facilities and a faculty of industry professionals, students can explore their creative potential and gain the hands-on skills needed for their film industry careers.
Thanks to this collaboration with the ASUS ProArt team, the Norwegian Film School now has access to cutting-edge equipment that has enhanced its teaching and production capabilities.
Professor Troels Linde from the school emphasized the value of having access to advanced tools."Working with the ASUS ProArt team has been lovely because they've given us access to state-of-the-art equipment that we normally wouldn't have available, so I very much look forward to working with them again," he said.
Technician Sindre Sæbø emphasized the importance of precise and powerful equipment in providing a realistic and immersive learning experience. "Since we are combining a virtual background with a physical foreground, we need a precisely controlled monitor to match the lighting and the setups. The ASUS ProArt Display OLED PA32DC allows us to do exactly that."
To support its advanced filmmaking programs, the top-tier ASUS ProArt products incorporated by The Norwegian Film School include:
