After a short break, we're back. This week Simon Wyndham tells us about the new Canon XF705, which he has on test for a forthcoming review.
Make no mistake, this is an exciting bit of kit, designed for the new generation of EFP/ENG style work, and has many features on it that protect it for the future including dual HDR recording with simultaneous SDR output and a new XF-HEVC codec, which should be roughly twice as efficient as previous H.264 recording systems, 10-bit 422 recording, 5-axis stabilisation, and a build quality that a tank would be proud of.
