IBC is going to be the first opportunity for Europeans to see the G-Technology G-RACK 12 Network-Attached Storage (NAS) in Amsterdam on 9th - 13th September.
The G-RACK is expandable to 500TB (with extension racks) and, powered by Dual Intel® Xeon® E5 Haswell V3 6-Core (12 Cores Total), is capable of speeds up to 2000 megabytes per second.
The G-RACK won a RedShark award at NAB 2016 and this was not just because of the sheer capacity and throughput of the system. What impressed us most was the user interface and the ease of setting up and managing what is a very sophisticated product. Potential users, who range from individuals to small and medium sized facilities, do not have their own dedicated IT departments. We felt that this aspect had been very well addressed by G-Technology and that this made the G-RACK a highly capable and usable product.
Well worth taking a look if you're going to the show.
