Rumours of quite a few new products debuting at London’s BVE Expo seem to be bearing fruit, with some of the first new kit to break cover coming from storage specialist G-Technology.
First off are two new models in the G-RAID range, one boasting a Thunderbolt 2 port and USB 3.0, the other USB 3.0 only. The RAID 0/1 units feature an internal RAID controller, solid all-aluminium enclosure, and quiet cooling fan technology. Both come with two removable, 7,200RPM enterprise-class hard drives and support transfer rates up to 440MB/s, making them useful for multi-stream HD, 2K and compressed 4K video workflows.
The company is also showcasing the new ruggedised portable hard drive family that launched at CES. Part of the G-Technology Evolution Series, the new units include the new G-DRIVE ev ATC with Thunderbolt (pictured above), the G-DRIVE ev ATC with USB 3.0, and the G-DRIVE ev RaW, all of which feature watertight drive compartments, drop-resistance, and a host of other mods designed to keep your data safe in demanding environments.
