Filmconvert recently posted a camera profile for Blackmagic Design's Ursa Mini 4.6K camera for its grading and film look product.
Filmconvert is available as a plug-in for Adobe CC products (PremierePro and After Effects), OFX, Final Cut Pro (FCP 7 and X) and Avid Media Composer. A stand-alone version is also available.
With 19 film stocks based upon 6K scans of actual stock, Filmconvert is about as faithful to the emulsion as is technically possible. It's grading capabilities, along with grain adjustments, make it my personal favorite among all of the looks-management and grading plug-ins.
A hallmark of the product is the constant updating of camera profiles, which the company will create based upon user demand. Currently, multiple models of Sony, Arri, Panasonic, Nikon, GoPro, Blackmagic Design, DJI, Canon and Digital Bolex profiles are available for download free for registered users of Filmconvert.
Most significant is that the camera profiles are created based upon the company's analysis of the respective cameras' curves and color science.
Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6K cameras remain in short supply, but for those who already have those cameras and who use FilmConvert, this profile will definitely be useful.
