Sony updates FX6 firmware to V4.0

Sony has rolled out a new system update for the Sony FX6, which is now on Version 4.0. The new improvements include a de-squeeze function for anamorphic lenses and autofocus in S&Q mode. While the de-squeeze functionality is only available in 1.3x and 2.0x ratios, this feature grants its users the ability to choose the desired de-squeeze ratio for both the HDMI output image and the image displayed within the View Finder. The autofocus support in S&Q (Slow & Quick) mode is available for 7 fps or higher in S&Q mode. It also adds support for Flexible ISO and Cine EI Quick in shooting mode, which means you can work the same production workflows as other Cinema Line cameras.

ZEAPON AXIS Series sliders announced

ZEAPON just announced a new family of multi-axis motorized sliders called AXIS. All 6 different models feature a carbon fiber track with a maximum travel distance of 1 meter with an expandable pan-tilt motorized module that can withstand a maximum payload of 12kg.

The ZEAPON AXIS Series has three different models: AXIS 80, 100, and 120 weighing 4.2kg, 4.6kg, and 4.7kg respectively. Each model has a Pro that features an optional PONS motorized pan-tilt head.
