A quick roundup of newsworthy recent releases including new accessories from ARRI, Smallrig's Cooling Fan for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5, new glass from Laowa and Viltrox, the new YoloBox Extreme, and SGO's ACES 2.0 integration.
SGO has introduced a significant update to its flagship post-production solutions,
Mistika Boutique and Ultima, featuring ACES 2.0, cutting-edge SGO AI-powered
deinterlacing, direct integration with Topaz Labs powerful AI tools, and enhanced SDK
support. That makes Mistika Boutique and Ultima the first post-production
solutions to integrate and officially support ACES 2.0, the next-generation color
management pipeline. We expect more will follow.
Smallrig has released a cooling fan for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5 cameras. The snappily named Cooling Fan for Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5 promises to extend shooting time by over 30% when shooting at 40°C (104°F). Two speed modes (4500 RPM and a more efficient but noisier 7000 RPM) let you fine-tune fan speed to match various environments and shooting conditions.
A snap-on design allows for fast, tool-free installation and removal in just 1 second. And, despite the name, Smallrig says that it's a universal fit and can also be mounted on a bunch of different Sony models if you remove the mount bracket. Price is $59.99.
