Panasonic Connect Europe today announced an ST2110 upgrade for its entry-level Panasonic AK-HC3900 studio camera. The upgrade positions Panasonic as one of the only manufacturers with a complete IP-ready line-up from entry-level to high-end studio cameras.
With this update, the Panasonic AK-HC3900 HD studio camera can be connected to SMPTE ST2110-compliant broadcast equipment or network switch. This allows the AK-HC3900 to transmit broadcast-grade uncompressed HD video directly from the camera head over IP with very low latency, without the need for a CCU. It also supports IP return video (HD), a reference signal (PTP), trunk signal output (HD), prompter input, and IP intercom audio input/output with the ST2110.
Andre Meterian, Director of Professional Video Systems for Panasonic Connect Europe, said: “This latest upgrade capability further underlines Panasonic’s commitment to assist the industry in accelerating the transition to IP. Our complete range of IP-ready equipment helps to further improve efficiencies, flexibility and quality across broadcasting, live productions and streaming.”

Matrox Video has launched the LUMA Pro Series, a new line of graphics cards powered by Intel Arc GPUs. Engineered to power digital signage and video wall systems, the low-profile LUMA A310FP and the standard-height LUMA A380P offer the ultimate display flexibility, supporting up to two 8Kp60, two 5Kp120, or four 5Kp60 DisplayPort 2.1 monitors. They can also be combined to drive a high-density-output video wall of up to 16 synchronized 5Kp60 displays.
This means that OEMs, systems integrators, and AV professionals can easily add — and synchronize — displays by frame-locking up to four LUMA Pro cards via board-to-board frame-lock cables. In addition, LUMA Pro cards support Microsoft DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0, as well as Intel's oneAPI for compute tasks and the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit for AI development.
The LUMA Pro cards also feature state-of-the-art GPU-based H.264 and H.265 media codec engines, setting a benchmark in their class. LUMA Pro includes the robust Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software. Users can select from a variety of advanced tools to easily configure and customize multi-display setups.
"It is a thrilling era for video wall technology, driven by the continuously rising customer demand for cutting-edge visual experiences," said Daniel Collin, senior product manager at Matrox Video.
