Nanlite introduces Forza 60CR full-color LED light

Introducing Nanlite's Forza 60CR full-color LED light, which adds LumenRadio CRMX capability to the original model.

Nanlite’s Forza 60C, released two years ago now, was the company’s first full-color point-source lighting featuring the RGBLAC six-color mixing system. Given the way it went down in the market, unsurprisingly the new Forza 60CR full-color LED light builds on the strengths of the original tech. While continuing all the advantages of the Forza 60C, it also features the addition of LumenRadio CRMX for additional console and app control.

The lightweight 60-watt lamp head weighs 1.16 kg / 2.56 lb, a shade more than the original (1.08 kg / 2.38 lb), but both provide a high illuminance level of 12,810 lux @ 1m with the reflector fitted. The light delivers an ultra-wide CCT range of 1800K-20000K with ±100 green/magenta adjustment

The light adopts Nanlite's advanced RGBLAC six-color mixing technology to achieve higher accuracy and greater saturation of colors. The theory is that by integrating additional Lime, Amber, and Cyan LED emitters alongside RGB emitters, they build a much more complete light spectrum compared to traditional RGBWW fixtures.

“The saturation strengthens significantly for colors other than RGB in HSI mode, giving the Forza 60C/60CR the cutting edge in color rendition over other existing RGB, RGBW, and RGBWW fixtures,” explains the company. “A full spectrum, wider color space, and more accurate, subtle color reproduction for lower saturated colors can also be easily achieved.”

The Forza 60CR and Forza 60C both feature a hardware and software platform designed specifically for use with the RGBLAC light sources. It offers the usual range of effects, professional options for HSI, RGBW, and XY coordinates for color calibration, and users can dial in their desired values with enhanced flexibility, enabled by on-board, Nanlink App, DMX/RDM, and LumenRadio CRMX (Forza 60CR only) controls.

A decent range of lighting accessories is available, while the new light uses the same FM mount as the original (it also ships with a Bowens adaptor). It also ships with an NP-F battery grip for handheld use. Both lights can run at 100% brightness on a 14.8V 160Wh battery for around two hours.

Pricing is $699 and availability is immediate.
