Before NAB drowns out absolutely everything, it’s worth a quick mention of the mobile-centric Mojofest, which is coming to Dublin April 28 & 29.

MojoFest bills itself as the premier international conference for mobile content creators and Mojofest 2025 will take place in Dublin, Ireland on 28th and 29th April 2025.

The event, hosted at University College Dublin (UCD), promises to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and influencers from around the world to inspire - and educate - a new generation of mobile journalists, social media influencers and content creators in the rapidly evolving and ever-shifting Creator Economy.

Founded by Glen Mulcahy, former Head of Innovation at Irish broadcaster RTÉ, this year’s event will include keynote presentations, workshops, and panel discussions covering the latest trends in mobile journalism (which is where the ‘Mojo’ comes from), social media storytelling, mobile filmmaking, and the impact of AI on media production. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on sessions, exploring mobile video production, live streaming, and advanced storytelling techniques using smartphones and portable equipment.

Mulcahy has always been a staunch advocate for the Mojo community. “I am personally thrilled to be bringing Mojofest back to Dublin,” he says. “Mobile filmmaking and production technology is advancing at an astonishing rate and it inspires a transformation of how stories are told. This year’s event will focus not only on the tools and techniques you need to be a better storyteller, but you’ll also learn from the creators and influencers themselves - we’ve gathered some of the top influencers in their field who are joining us to share their experiences along their creative journeys. Whether you are a seasoned journalist, filmmaker, or a newcomer to mobile content creation, there will be something for everyone.”
