It's been another rollercoaster of a year, but from RedShark we want to wish all our readers a Happy Christmas and all the best for the coming year.
2020 became famous for being the year that many people wanted to forget. 2021 may well fall into the same category, although for the production industry at least, things have been pretty good.
Crew members have been in such demand in many areas that there has in fact been a shortage of hands. Production very quickly picked up to fill the gaps that were left in 2020's schedules, and now most productions are going ahead as normal, albeit with Covid precautions in place.
Technology, particularly relating to remote and collaborative working has made huge strides during this generally difficult period, and the fact that trade shows have had to cancel has not slowed things down one iota. We've had some incredible products released in the past year, including a completely new take on what a camera should be from DJI with its Ronin 4D. We currently have this in our hands finally and we'll be bringing you a review as soon as we can. We've had incredible monitors such as the ASUS PA32UCG, that has pretty much redefined what can be expected from a grading monitor in both performance and price. 8K has become even more common in cameras, and will be set to do so even more in 2022, and combined with developments such as the M1 Pro and M1 Max computers from Apple, it's showing that technology is still improving exponentially.
On a closer note, RedShark couldn't be what it is without you, the readers, the people who come back to our site day after day. Through the stuff we all agree on, to the stuff we don't, site like ours couldn't exist without you. Equally, RedShark would not be what it is without its knowledgable team of writers, who provide us with high quality content on a constant basis.
So from everyone at RedShark, myself, Matt, Maari, James, and all the team, we wish all of you the very happiest (and safe) Christmas and New Year. Thank you.
