Following the release of the Eagle SDI e-Viewfinder in July last year, Kinefinity has followed that up with the introduction of an Eagle HDMI version.
The new Eagle HDMI e-Viewfinder is compatible with most professional cinema cameras, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras on the market that feature HDMI inputs. It uses an innovative FPGA-based hybrid processing architecture for quick startup, rapid response, extremely low power consumption, and no additional image delay. Additionally, it also features a useful fanless design allowing it to operate silently, enabling filmmakers to work in quiet environments without distractions.
It includes a range of essential assistive tools such as waveform, peaking focus, histogram, false color, and SDI metadata, making exposure and focus adjustments easier than ever. It also adds a HDMI Type-A loop-out, making it easier to work with multiple monitors simultaneously. Additionally, the power supply has been upgraded from the traditional power input to the increasingly necessary USB-C.
It features a Full-HD 0.7-inch Micro-OLED display with 1080p resolution. Supported by 10-bit processing and a broad spectrum of 16 million colors, Kinefinity says it delivers high contrasts and true black and grey levels, guaranteeing precise details and sharp imagery, facilitating effortless focusing and exposure adjustments. It supports 1080p, 1080i, and 1080psf signal inputs, with frame rates ranging from 23.97 to 60 fps, providing broad adaptability for various film production needs.
Equipped with a built-in diopter adjustable from -6D to +2D, it caters to a wide range of vision needs, accommodating from 600 degrees of myopia to 200 degrees of hyperopia. This should help ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all users. Adding to that it weighs only only 348g
The viewfinder features a replaceable Rosette design, and through Quick-lock Mount, 1/4"-20, and M6 threads, it can be assembled in at least five different configurations, allowing easy integration with professional cameras and providing flexibility for various shooting needs.
Availability is immediate and prices start from $1199.
