On the IBC2024 show floor, Adobe’s Francis Crossman gives us a demo of some of the new functionality in Premiere Pro’s Properties Panel.

In another of our Adobe videos shot on the IBC2024 show floor, Principle Product Manager, Francis Crossman, tells us all about the new properties panel in the forthcoming Adobe Premiere Pro 25. 

Ergonomics are a vital part of software development. When you are performing a task such as video editing and making the same moves dozens if not hundreds of times a day, being able to save even a single mouse click of the workflow has an appreciable impact on the end user.

Companies invest a huge amount of money in getting this right. And one of the fruits of that investment was demonstrated on the IBC show floor.

Francis Crossman introduces us to the new properties panel in Adobe Premiere Pro and the way that it responds automatically to the context of whatever task the editor is performing at the time. 

“It aggregates the most commonly used features that you need to get your work done quickly into a panel that allows you to do things like scale and position; you know the kind of things that you would expect," he explains. 'What this does is it makes it a lot easier for newer users to get started quickly and find their way around the app. But it's also faster for the seasoned pros, because these tools are things that you need to adjust all the time. And there are some secret weapons in here that seasoned pros are gonna love for the first time ever.”
