Hollyland has revealed the 6th generation of the Lark Series microphones, the LARK M2S, featuring a 30-hour battery life and a 300m transmission range as well as Environmental Noise Cancellation features.
Launched under the neat tagline ‘Mission Invisible’, the new Hollyland LARK M2S built-in microphone is certainly tiny. It measures 1.3 x 0.63 cm (0.51 x 0.25 inches), smaller than a small fingernail, and weighs a mere 7g (0.25 oz). It also bucks the current trend by featuring a design with no visible logo, meaning that it can be easily concealed in an outfit.
The transmitter has an innovative titanium alloy clip, which holds it securely in place no matter what the wearer gets up to. It boasts a sampling rate of up to 24 bit/48 kHz, a 70dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and 2.4GHz transmission. This is going to enable it to capture clear, articulate and natural human voices with all the nuances and details and that’s before the Environmental Noise Cancellation kicks in to automatically minimize background noise, ensuring your voice stays prominent.
Range is 984ft (300m) impressive range, and you can move freely across large areas without losing the connection—perfect for on-location shoots. Each transmitter has a battery life of 9 hours, which can reach up to 30 hours with a fully charged charging case. A new dial design in the Combo version makes it easy access to power, pairing, mute, and volume controls, with options for high, medium, and low levels.
The LARK M2S is available in three versions: Combo (Duo), Mini Combo (Duo), and USB-C (Duo), offering wide compatibility. Control and checking of audio settings, volume levels, noise reduction, and battery life is via the accompanying app.
