Hollyland Technology has expanded on its newly launched Pyro series with the introduction of the Pyro S.
Featuring one transmitter supporting up to four receivers, Hollyland’s self-developed 2.4GHz and 5GHz Auto Dual-band frequency Hopping (ADH) wireless tech means that the Pyro S provides stable wireless video at 4k/30fps, and up to 400m (1300ft). This enables better signal transmission performance and efficiency, making real-time footage monitoring simple and efficient.
By selecting different modes, users can prioritise a smooth frame rate and low latency, or enhanced video clarity. With Smooth mode, Pyro will keep the video transmission smooth, with the bitrate being dynamically adjusted to achieve a latency of 50ms for long-distance transmission. HD mode provides superior image quality, with a stable bitrate of 8-12 Mbps even up to a range of 1300ft (400m).
Ergonomics & connectivity
The lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy shell makes this system easy to carry and deploy in fast-moving video projects. Pyro S features an LCD control display on both the transmitter and receiver for an intuitive user interface and quick setting selection. It also has an HDMI and SDI Input/Output suitable for professional shooting and smaller commercial projects.
The company is also prepping the new Pyro 7 wireless monitoring and transmission system, which includes its own built-in 7-inch monitor, for release in July.
You can find the Pyro S for $699.
