Godox has unveiled the KNOWLED M1000R, a powerful and lightweight 1000W full-color LED light with competitive pricing and some handy features.
The latest addition to the KNOWLED M-series, the new M1000R boasts 1000W of power and what Godox promises is a significant performance upgrade over previous models in the range. In comparison to the M600R, for instance, the company claims an 83.2% increase in bare light and a 86.1% increase with a standard reflector.
It produces a 20,400-lux output at one metre with a reflector at 5600K, color temperatures range from 1800K to 10000K, enabling 91% Rec2020 color gamut coverage. It offers flexible color modes — CCT, HSI, RGBW, GEL, X-Y, and FX — with four professional dimming curves, linear, S-curve, exponential, and logarithmic. Godox claims an average CRI ≥95 for the light and a TLCI rating ≥94.
While it’s not only brighter it is lighter as well, a lightweight body and a more compact controller making it easy to transport and store and helping ensure fast setup. The Light Body weighs 17.86 lb (8.1 kg) and the Controller 12.35 lb (5.6 kg).
The light is built around a LED beads design, reducing internal heat and ensuring stable and safe long-duration output during extended shooting sessions.
An IP54-rated waterproof and dustproof design, ensuring both the control unit and light body remain protected for reliable performance in harsh environments and weather.
Control options include built-in CRMX, DMX, Ethernet, Bluetooth App, meaning the light offers flexible, professional control for seamless light adjustments on medium to large-scale shoots. The usual 14 FX modes are present, dimming runs the full range from 0-100%, and the Bowens Mount provides access to the usual wide range of lighting accessories.
