Godox introduces P600R Hard/P1200R Hard and trails new BeamLight Max90

It’s going to be a busy NAB Show for Godox which is heading to Vegas with a whole raft of fixtures and means to control them in tow.

So much stuff from Godox coming up at the show that it’s difficult to know where to start; the company has had a hyperactive few weeks.

First up then, something that it is teasing ahead of the show; what it refers to as the ‘groundbreaking’ BeamLight Max90. This is billed as an ultra-powerful innovation for the company’s G-Mount LEDs, such as the KNOWLED MG2400Bi and MG1200Bi, and transforms fixtures into parallel light sources “boasting super power and unmatched throw.” More when NAB opens we suspect. In the meantime, here’s a teaser video.

There is also the P600R Hard/P1200R Hard to have a look at over on the Godox booth (#C5735).  

Supporting full-power output across the entire CCT range, the P600R Hard reaches up to 650W, surpassing traditional 4-head spacelights by 30%, while the P1200R steps even further with an impressive 1200W, rivaling traditional 12-head spacelights. The lights feature a sleek design, blending power with practicality. The P600R Hard measures just 19.5x22.4x4.7-in and the P1200R Hard measures 32.8x23.8x6.7-in (including the yoke). Both are also over 50% lighter than traditional  4-head/12-head spacelights. Both also feature comprehensive accessories and reliable wireless controls and are priced at P600R Hard: $2190, and P1200R Hard: $4590.

Elsewhere, lighting control also features. The company has just released the $219 TimoLink TRX, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless DMX transceiver. As a transmitter, this enables you to control CRMX lights remotely via the Godox KNOWLED app or a console. As a receiver, you can seamlessly integrate non-CRMX DMX lights into your setup. 

The Godox KNOWLED app you ask? This is available now on the Apple and Android app stores and allows you to manage all DMX lights, ensuring stable connections with any brand, from a tablet. 

Godox says that it allows you to directly match lighting with scenes, simplifying complex setups, thus opening up accessible and realistic visual creation without extra tools to keep costs down. An Intuitive Lighting Layout allows you to position fixtures on a grid, reflecting the actual on-set lighting arrangement.
