Godox introduces magnetic MA5R combo pocket light and power bank for mobiles

Godox’s new MA5R is a slim 13mm profile device for mobile phones that combines a full-color light with a magnetic wireless power bank.

Designed for on-the-go creators, the new Godox MA5R serves as both a pocket light with at least 220 minutes of runtime and a magnetic wireless power bank, which is especially useful for charging your phone when off grid or in any of the many situations where you might find your battery rapidly heading towards zero.  

Lightweight at 164 grams and with a slim 13mm profile (5.78 oz, 0.51 in), it features an integrated 0.8W selfie light on the magnetic side to provide a handy fill light for those essential shots.

Over on the business side of the product, the main light offers 5W of full-color lighting with an adjustable color temperature ranging from 1800K to 10000K (the selfie light is also adjustable, though to a more limited 2800K-6500K). The MA5R comes with 14 pre-programmed special effects, giving users the flexibility to create the perfect atmosphere for any occasion.

The device can be easily controlled through the Godox Light App via NFC and Bluetooth, meaning that users can quickly adjust settings and lighting preferences directly from their phone. One caveat; you cannot charge your phone and run the light at the same time.

It’s available now in six color options—Red, White, Pink, Green, Black, and Blue— for $49.
