First footage from the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K

While we're still waiting for an official release date for the camera, Blackmagic has released the first footage online from the PYXIS 6K.

The $3000 Blackmagic 6K is still listed as a 'new item, coming soon' on reseller websites around the world. But, while there is no firm release date announced as yet, and we're quite a long way past its original June target, we're slowly getting there as this footage that just dropped on YouTube reveals.

It doesn't tell us much apart from the title Margaret River, and the fact that it was shot on the PYXIS 6K by cinematographer Patrick O’Sullivan. No info on formats, lenses or anything like that.

We're still hopeful of a worldwide release to coincide with IBC and maybe a few surprises too. In the meantime, however,  take a look at what the camera is capable of below.
