Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 19.0.2, bringing a range of new features and improvements to the popular editing, color correction, and audio post-production software.

Key updates
The latest version introduces support for decoding MPEG transport stream .ts clips, expanding the software's compatibility with various file formats. This update also significantly enhances the Scripting API, offering users more control over their workflows.
New Scripting API capabilities include:
- Getting and setting per-clip custom metadata
- Managing source start and end frames
- Handling source start and end timecode
- Controlling media pool selection
- Querying timeline clip positions at subframe precision
- Appending clips to timelines at subframe offsets
For Studio users, the update offers support for Electron version 31.3.1 for workflow integrations and improved quality with speed warp faster mode.

Workflow improvements
DaVinci Resolve 19.0.2 addresses several workflow issues:
- Fixed a ripple delete issue for audio-only clips in the cut page
- Improved audio alignment when replacing media pool clips
- Resolved the problem of subclip markers not displaying in the source viewer
- Fixed metadata import not updating EDL clip names
- Replace clip actions now retain destination track settings
- Addressed an issue with color-managed timelines where Text+ was losing highlights

Users can download the DaVinci Resolve 19.0.2 update from the Blackmagic Design support page or by selecting DaVinci Resolve > Check for Updates within the software.
