DaVinci Resolve 19 Beta 4 released to add live sync video amongst wave of Blackmagic updates

Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 19 now hits Beta 4, while there have also been software updates for Fusion Studio, Blackmagic RAW, Blackmagic Camera, Blackmagic Video Assist, and the company's ATEM switchers.

This is a somewhat smaller release than Beta 3, which added support for the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processors found in the new Microsoft Copilot+ PCs amongst a whole host of other things. But it has only been 20 days since then, and it seems that even the hyperactive Blackmagic devs can only code so much...

Not that they've been taking it too easy. Essentially, DaVinci Resolve 19 Beta 4 adds the ability to live sync video from Blackmagic Design cameras, Blackmagic Cloud organizations selection in the project manager and more viewer background options in the cut and edit viewers. It also includes support for Blackmagic RAW 4.1, improved waveform display for media with synced audio, and better handling of nested clips.

Fusion has been given an update too. Fusion Studio 19 Public Beta 4 adds improvements including tracker modifiers now defaulting to IntelliTrack, a new occlusion mask input for surface tracker, and better paint clone scaling and rotation. It also includes improvements to the surface tracker tool and better clipping of softened shapes in MultiPoly. 

And that is not all by a long way. Other updates released today include:

Blackmagic RAW 4.1 adds support for Blackmagic RAW clips recorded by Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR from Panasonic Lumix GH7 and Fujifilm GFX100S II.

Blackmagic Camera 8.7 Public Beta adds support for live syncing proxy files from Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K and Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 to Blackmagic Cloud.

Blackmagic Video Assist 3.15 adds support for Blackmagic RAW recording from Panasonic Lumix GH7 and Fujifilm GFX100 S II cameras to Video Assist 5” and 7” 12G HDR models.

And yesterday the ATEM Switchers 9.5.1 Update released improvements to localization and indulged in some light bug squishing by fixing an occasional issue that could cause intermittent loss of camera control for ATEM Mini Pro, ATEM Mini Pro ISO, ATEM Mini Extreme, ATEM Mini Extreme ISO, ATEM SDI Pro ISO and ATEM SDI Extreme ISO.
