Core SWX highlights Helix cross compatibility with Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K and 17K cameras

Blackmagic's V-Mount and G-Mount plates for its new URSAs are now confirmed as cross-compatible with Core SWX's Helix battery range.

Core SWX has confirmed that the new V-Mount and G-Mount plates offered by Blackmagic Design for its forthcoming URSA Mini Pro 12K and 17K cameras are fully Helix compatible, enabling users to opt for high voltage battery platforms beyond the unit's native and slightly unusual B-Mount.

That means that clients wanting to protect their existing battery investment can buy the $99 plates and continue to use their existing fleet of Helix Max battery packs. Alternatively they can continue using low voltage packs, with the option to transition to the high voltage Helix Max Native Dual Voltage platform down the line. This flexibility also allows users to operate their cameras at high voltage for maximum efficiency, supporting power draws of up to 185 watts.
