Core SWX launches its new Helix Max Ultra batteries with AI-driven power management optimisation for cinema and broadcast, supporting 14V and 28V applications with real-time diagnostics and fast on-the-go charging.
Designed specifically for cinema, broadcast, and high-powered lighting, Core SWX’s Helix Max Ultra batteries deliver intelligent power management, AI-driven optimization, and next-generation integration to support both 14V and 28V applications.
Proof that AI is indeed everywhere, the company says that an AI-enhanced power management system is at the heart of the batteries and dynamically optimizes power delivery for high-end cinema cameras, lighting rigs, and accessories. The company namechecks leading platforms such as the ARRI Alexa 35, RED V-RAPTOR XL, and Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K/17K, saying that the battery packs adapt in real-time to meet the unique power demands of each device, ensuring stable, uninterrupted performance without requiring multiple battery solutions. Which is handy.
Helix Max Ultra is engineered to deliver up to 12A peak on high-voltage devices and 24A peak on low-voltage devices, ensuring 100% efficient power transmission. They feature an ultra-durable polycarbonate shell and an ergonomic side-mounted backlit LCD, combining lightweight portability with durability for extended shoots.
Usefully, they have an array of advanced auxiliary outputs, including: Dual PDPro taps, P-Tap, and USB-C PD for powering monitors, wireless transmitters, and high-draw LED lighting. They also feature USB-C PD charging up to 100W, enabling fast and efficient on-the-go recharging
Equipped with Voltbridge iD technology, Helix Max Ultra offers real-time diagnostics, battery health insights, firmware status, and power performance data, all accessible via the Voltbridge iD mobile app.
There are a range of options and sizes, namely 99Wh, 158Wh, 297Wh, and 395Wh capacities across V-mount, G-mount, and B-mount options. The two smaller ones have been UN tested and certified, passing UN38.3 certification for safe air shipment.
