We have a new and - we hope! - improved commenting system. It will make it easier to leave comments.
We love getting comments. We’re always delighted by the knowledge and wisdom that RedShark readers add to our articles by commenting on them. Sometimes, though, we’ve heard that it’s hard to register to make comments on RedShark. Individual problems vary, but we’ve had enough feedback on this to think that it’s time for a change.
So, we’ve made a big decision - to move to the well known Disqus commenting system.
We’ve heard good things about it, and we’re going to try it. If it doesn’t work out, we can always try something else.
But we think it will. We’re also taking steps to make sure that your comments are moderated faster (timezones are definitely NOT your friend when you’re moderating comments from a single place on Earth!).
Please try it out. Let us know (in the comments!) what you think. Or write to me using the addresses for feedback given on the site.
And don’t worry if you’ve written carefully crafted comments in the past. We’ve imported all the old comments into the new system.
If you see anything odd, or it's not working for you, please let us know. There's no real way to test this without simply turning it on - so it might take a day or two to get it working perfectly.
We look forward to hearing from you!
