Air New Zealand has outdone every other airline by a very big margin with this Hobbit-inspired safety film

In the struggle to gain and retain the attention of bored and frustrated travelers, Air New Zealand flight safety films have no equal. Nor do their film industry connections: having Peter Jackson as a frequent customer is probably what made this possible. Plus the fact that a faraway country (unless you live there!) has probably no better way to attract tourists than to use the talents of its blockbusting movie-making industry.

This is the second edition of the Hobbit-inspired air safety commercials. We covered the first one here, since when it seems that smoking electronic cigarettes has been banned, but you no longer have to turn off all your digital devices.

This must be the first and only air flight safety film that you wish would last for the whole flight!
