Kevin Lan from the ASUS team gave us a guided tour of the company’s latest ProArt displays on the NAB 2025 show floor, headlined by the ProArt Cinema PQ09.
It’s a sizeable statement, if you'll excuse the pun. A 162-inch 4K HDR panel featuring a fine 0.9mm pixel pitch and 1200-nit peak brightness, with colour accuracy that makes it suitable for both color referencing creatives, and general film fanatics to use.
“It’s suitable for a reference monitor and home cinema,” Kevin said.
Colour accuracy and wide gamut support are front and centre, as expected from the ProArt range. The PQ09 joins a growing line-up aimed at post houses, DITs, and display-focused creatives who need consistent results at scale.
Kevin also introduced two new SDI-compatible displays with 4K HDR and 12G SDI connectivity. One is a 34-inch model, and the other is a compact 15.6-inch portable unit designed for more mobile use.
“With the new one, we thought about the design,” he said. “You’ve got a mini stand, a kickstand, wall mounting, and two tripod sockets.”
It’s a thoughtful set of updates for on-set monitoring or portable review setups. The new ProArt displays are on show now at NAB 2025.*
*Also on display in my house, once I can work out how to smuggle a 162-inch display out of a convention centre.
