Angelbird releases SSD2GO PKT portable SSD

Available in 2TB and 4TB sizes, Angelbird is targeting its new pocket-sized SSD2GO PKT portable SSD at anyone looking for external recording and server-less file access on the go.

The new SSD2GO PKT is the next generation of Angelbird’s popular SSD2GO PKT series. Engineered with a rock-solid CNC-worked aluminum exterior, it weighs less than two AA batteries, is the size of a business card, and easily slips into a back pocket. It’s extreme temperature, x-ray, magnetic, splash, shock, and dust proof, so will be fine in that pocket too. It is also protected against ESD and overload. 

It’s speedy as well, and Angelbird’s Stable Stream technology guarantees stable, consistent performance across all modes and throughout the entire capacity of the SSD. Featuring a sustained write speed of 1600 MB/s and sustained read speed of 1700 MB/s, it can also transfer files at speeds up to 20 Gb/s with any USB-C compatible system.

It comes with a neat user-friendly feature, the Write-Protect-Switch, preventing users from unintentionally deleting, formatting, or transferring unwanted data to the SSD. Data safety is ensured through its unique Read-Only mode functionality, providing an extra layer of protection for critical files.
