Amazon Prime Day deals are live with some big bargains on offer
2:55

Loathe though we are to put more money into the voracious retailer's pockets, it has to be said there are some awesome deals to be had during the current Amazon Prime Day.

Navigating the rapidly shifting sands of the Amazon Prime Day delivery offers has never been a task for the faint-hearted. There's a lot of stuff and a lot of offers, many of which are only up for a limited time. It's a task that seems to have got more reactive too in recent years. as no doubt some Machiavellian AI delves into the global retailer's massive volume of warehouse stock and works out what it can tempt you with at any given moment.

So, while we would very much like to point you to some of the best offers available, increasingly these are unique in time and space. What is available at 9:30 am in Ireland is highly unlikely to be 9:30 am in Miami.

As a result you'll forgive us if we do not populate this article with links, but just tell you the sort of things we've seen at least this morning. That should give you an idea whether it is worth a few minutes of your time to see if you can grab a camera-related bargain.

The short answer at the moment is yes, yes it is. A quick look at the UK site's Any Category>Electronics & Photo>Camera & Photo> page has a few belters on offer.

  • DJI Osmo Action 3: £169 (down 42% from £289)
  • Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM: £1699 (down 37% from £2679)
  • GoPro HERO11 Black Bundle: £249 (down 33% from £369)
  • Canon EOS R10 + RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens: £499 (down 31% from £719)
  • Sony SEL40F25G - Full-Frame Lens FE 40mm F2.5: £449 (down 29% from £630)
  • Canon EOS RP: £749 (down 29% from £1049)
  • OM SYSTEM OM-5: £1385 (down 23% from £1799)
  • Canon R10: £899 (down 18% from £1099)
  • Sony SEL70200G E Mount - Full Frame 70-200mm F4.0: £799 (down 18% from £971)

Even only finding 6% off the Panasonic LUMIX S5II brings the price down £100 to £1499.

As we said, all this is moving fast and will continue to do so depending on where and when you are in the world. While writing this the number available of some of the heavier discounted items started to shift noticeably. With Amazon Prime Day taking place across two days (to be fair they are rebadging it to Prime Big Deal Days, but that is way less catchy) that means there's going to be a lot to sift through. And that's before you get to the other categories and all the other Brobdingnagian amount of stuff on offer...

tl;dr

  • Amazon Prime Day offers awesome deals but requires navigating rapidly changing offers.
  • The availability and discounts vary based on location and time.
  • Several camera-related items are currently on sale, such as DJI Osmo Action 3 and Canon EF 100-400mm lens.
  • The event spans two days and includes, well, a little bit of everything.
