After the release of RED’s new flagship camera, the RED V-RAPTOR, Hawk-Woods introduced a dual Mini V-Lock Adapter. This specifically designed for the V-RAPTOR promises to solve a problem that some filmmakers have experienced while shooting with the V-RAPTOR. It ensures extended run time and allows battery hot-swapping.
The Hawk-Woods VL-OCI connects directly to the V-Lock battery plate on the back of the V-RAPTOR camera. These power bricks can be swapped while shooting, which avoids any need for rebooting during the shoot. The adapter comes with a two-way LED indicator that monitors the current power draw.
Despite being officially listed on the Hawk-Woods website, there is no information about their price or availability.
